Youth Justice System
In Victoria there are special systems to deal with people under 18 who have committed crimes. The aim of the systems is to give alternatives to traditional court processes.
It might mean someone gets an informal caution, a formal caution or goes to a youth group justice conference instead of receiving a harsh sentence like going to jail.
